Maisey is founder and AD of Mawa Theatre Company, the UK’s first all Black, all female Shakespeare company.
As an Actress, Maisey trained at The National Youth Theatre and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
As well as an extensive acting career, Maisey ran her own successful self tape service for four years before launching her own screen acting school ‘The Essex School of Screen Acting’.
She worked across the globe with Trestle Theatre Company delivering workshops to children of all ages and facilitating conversations around race.
