Bio:
Lauren Townsend is a Yorkshire-based creative producer working in theatre, live events, film and community arts.
A commitment to engaging all communities in the arts and increasing diversity in the creative workforce is at the core of her practice and she is keenly interested in establishing cross-collaboration between mediums and artforms.
Before pursuing a full-time a freelance career Lauren was recently the in-house Producer at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield where she lead on delivery of their digital programme LBTV which was established to deliver creative content to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this she was Interim Assistant Producer at Sheffield Theatres looking after programming in their 130 - 300 seater Crucible Studio and assisting on breakout shows such as Standing at the Sky's Edge (dir. ROb Hastie), and Life of Pi (written by Lolita Chakrabarti).
Lauren currently works with Chol Theatre (Yorkshire), Cast (Doncaster), Right Up Our Street (Doncaster), and ThickSkin (Manchester).
