Dollie Henry – Jazz Artist, Choreographer, Creative Theatre Maker, Movement Director, Educator, Author.
Dollie has led a respected career of 38 years as a performer, choreographer, theatre director, creative Jazz artist and educator and is recognised as one of the most formidable exponents of artistic and creative Jazz dance and theatre dance recognised both in the UK and globally. She has shared her passion and philosophy of creative dance in every continent of the world, with a reputation that is widely revered and respected. Her breadth of work as a performer, creative artist and choreographer, has been vast and varied ranging from - West End Theatre Productions, Theatre Plays, Film, TV to Concert Dance, Jazz Theatre productions, Cabaret and the Commercial Dance Sector. Dollie continues to share her energy and passion successfully as a freelance choreographer and director worldwide.
Dollie is Founder and Artistic Director of the Premier Jazz Theatre Company in the UK - Body of People (BOP). Now in its 24th year, BOP Company has produced an array of Jazz Theatre productions and continues through the company to raise the platform for the Art form of Jazz Dance, Music and Theatre. Through the company, Dollie’s creative and commissioned works continue to make an impact and have been performed by dance companies and in theatre venues worldwide.
